Google plus is a fairly new medium that it was originally intended (or still is) to draw Facebook users. It still has to gain some traction (we don't use it very much ourselves) and at the beginning, it showed no signs of growth as it was treated as just another social medium (who needs another?)
However, more and more people are slowly using it, and now it has gained a place next to Twitter and Facebook. Speaking of which Social Media Examiner as written a detailed article on how to have a presence on Google plus.
If you want to dominate social media, you have to distribute rich media content efficiently and effectively. Google+ helps you do that and more.
